Applying service packs GP10


Startingv with hotfix 968118, any hotfix, service pack or compliance update, must be followed with a modified forms and reports upgrade. To complete this successfully, first note down the locatin of all reports and forms dictionaries. If you don’t use a centralised .set file, you may have to check each workstation / terminal server seperately. Back up every forms and reports.dic you find. When you apply the update and it¬†has run its course, the Additional Tasks window will appear. From this select to Update Modified Forms and Reports. You will be prompted for the location of the dynamics.set file. Click the tick box beside all the products listed (or at least all those you want to update)…and click ‘Update’. When it is finished, click the next button and select to launch¬†Dynamics GP. Print all your modified reports to ensure the update completd succesfully.
